Ver. 1.3.1
Wild, Engineered
This curious species of owl is one of the more famous results of the genetic experiments collectively known as the Wilkins Project. It's notable for its loud mating call which is said to resemble musical notes, or yodeling.
These owls inhabit the coniferous forests of southern and eastern Ætheria and southern Rothera during the summer, and migrate to coastal areas of the Antarctic during the winter to escape the bitter cold.

A strictly nocturnal predator, the yodeling owl roosts in trees by day and hunts small rodents at night. It uses its powerful talons to snatch its prey before flying away to enjoy its meal.
The creature takes off from the ground or continues flying. It travels though the air a distance up to its flight speed and stays level or ascends by up to half its flight speed.
While flying, the creature must use at least one frame on your turn to continue moving, unless it has the ability to hover.
Owls have specially-adapted feathers that make their flight virtually silent. The difficulty to hear this creature while it flies is increased by 5.
While flying, the creature rapidly descends, flying laterally at double its flight speed while descending at least half its flight speed in feet.
The creature attacks with its talons.
Make an attack check against the target.
Success: | You inflict Piercing damage. If you used your previous action to Nosedive, the damage increases by your flight speed. If the target is at least 2 sizes smaller than you, you grapple the target in your talons, immobilizing it. |
Critical Success: | Critical Hit. The target takes double damage and receives Bleeding 1. |
Failure: | You miss. |
Critical Failure: | You miss and possibly hit the ground or a nearby obstacle. |
