Locksmith's Kit

Item

This specialized kit contains a device for measuring key cuts, and a punch for producing new keys. This kit can be used to decode and produce copies of keys from molds or even photos.

Copy a Key

You use the Locksmith's Kit to create a copy of a key. You may use a physical key, or a clear photograph or impression of one. The crafting process takes 10 minutes. Make a difficulty20 Crafting (Technology) skill check.

You take a -5 penalty if your photo or impression isn't clear (as judged by the GM), or a +5 bonus if you have a physical key.

Success: You produce a duplicate key that works, but was obviously made by hand.
Failure: You are unable to make a key of the correct type.
Critical Failure: You produce a non-working key.
