Summarized List: Status Effects
A Bleeding creature has a large open wound and is losing a substantial amount of blood.
Creatures with this status effect lose additional hit points at the end of each of their turns. Hit points lost due to bleeding are not considered damage, and so are not affected by armor or resistance. The Bleeding effect carries over to life points if the creature is dying.
Maximum Level: 5
Each level of Bleeding drains 1d6 hit points per round at the end of the affected creature's turn.
Bleeding is typically caused by bladed weapons. Many called shots can cause bleeding if they connect. Some weapons, such as the combat knife, are adept at causing bleeding wounds.
Bleeding can be stopped by stabilization, receiving First Aid, or any other successful medical treatment.
