Cell Phone

Cell phones are an essential communication and research tool for adventurers as well as commoners. Every character's starting equipment includes a basic smartphone.

Your phone can be used for a variety of simple tasks, from looking up information online to calling and communicating with your teammates from different locations. The cell phone has a limited battery which recharges whenever you take a rest in a location with electricity, along with other electronic devices in your inventory. Each task drains a certain amount of your battery, and the device becomes inoperable when its battery reaches 0%.

Cell Service Levels

Some tasks with the cell phone require it to have cell service. Different levels and signal strengths exist depending on your current location. Advanced tasks like video calls and browsing the web require full service, while basic functions like calling and texting can be done on the limited service found in smaller towns and rural areas. Localized tasks, such as the phone light and clock, work even when there is no signal at all.
