Concentration

Your concentration must be maintained while working on a long action during combat that spans multiple rounds. Depending on the action, you may or may not be preoccupied while concentrating.

An action you're concentrating on doesn't complete until all the needed frames have passed. If you are interrupted, you must make a save to continue concentrating. If your concentration is broken, you automatically fail the action you were performing, but you regain any frames that hadn't yet passed when you were interrupted.

The save to continue concentrating is either Endurance or Determination, depending on the nature of the event that interrupts you.

The following events can break your concentration:

• Taking damage
• Being knocked away or forcibly moved
• A sudden change in environmental circumstances, such as the area becoming flooded or the lights going out
• Being staggered - If you succeed on your concentration save, you continue the action but it takes additional frames equal to the time you were staggered.
• Being stunned, knocked unconscious, or paralyzed causes you to immediately lose concentration without a chance at a save.
