Cryptid

Creature Type

Cryptids are animals and humanoid creatures created by magic. Some cryptids are ancient creatures that are thought to have existed on Earth since the time of the Tolgethic tribes themselves, while others have been created in the New Era since the advent of magic in Aetheria.

Cryptids are elusive and very rare. Their abilities depend on the magic that was used to create them, but very few if any of them are capable of using magic themselves.

Keyword Effects

Cryptids count as living creatures. They can be seen by life detection spells, but not by magic detection, unless their bodies retain some form of active enchantment or magical property.
