Ver. 1.3.1

Effective Range

The effective range is a characteristic of a ranged weapon that describes the maximum distance to which the weapon can be used practically. Outside of its effective range, the weapon becomes less lethal, but may still be able to inflict damage. A weapon's maximum range is twice its effective range.

When firing on a target at greater than your weapon's effective range, but less than its maximum range, you have disadvantage on the roll to hit. Outside of maximum range, you automatically fail rolls to hit.
