Ver. 1.3.1

Initiative

Initiative determines the turn order at the beginning of Combat. Your initiative stat is a modifier. When combat begins, the GM will have each player roll for initiative and add this modifier. The outcome of this check determines the turn order for the duration of that combat. The GM also rolls initiative for each non-player character and/or monster involved in the fight.

If two or more creatures roll the same result for initiative, the higher initiative modifier wins the tie. If this does not break the tie, then the GM decides which will take their turn first.

The initiative stat varies according to your class, and may be based on your dexterity or wisdom.

Mid-Combat Initiative

Sometimes, a creature will join a fight already in progress, or leave and rejoin. Creatures joining mid-combat roll for initiative as soon as they enter the fight and are added to the turn order on the following round. (If the creature joining rolls a place in the initiative order lower than the current combatant, they're skipped in the order during the current round.) If a creature leaves and rejoins combat, they keep the same initiative value they previously had.
