Potions

Potions are items that contain a liquid infused with magical properties. When consumed, they grant the drinker magical effects according to the ingredients they contain, and the empty bottle or container remains.

Potions are the simplest and most common form of alchemical mixture. They tend to be slow-acting compared to other solutions and must be consumed well in advance of when their effects will be needed.

Multi-Dosing

Some potions have effects that stack when a person consumes more than one. Depending on the potion, the effect may increase in strength or in duration.

Taking multiple potions at once is very taxing on the body. Whenever a creature drinks a potion while already under the effects of others, the creature must attempt an Endurance save against potion poisoning. The difficulty of the save is 0 plus 5 for each potion previously consumed.
