Ver. 1.3.1

Repetition Tax

The Repetition Tax, also called the Repetition Penalty or Spam Tax, affects repeated moves during combat. Whenever a combatant attempts the exact same non-trivial action multiple times in the same turn, each successive attempt takes one frame longer than the previous one, regardless of success or failure.

This rule applies only to the exact same action being attempted more than once in the same turn. In order for actions to trigger the Repetition Tax, they must involve the same target and the same weapon(s) or tool(s). Reactions and Actions of Opportunity are affected by the Repetition Tax as well, but remember the tax applies only to actions in the same turn, not the same round.

Moving for multiple frames after completing a single movement-based check does not apply the Repetition Tax. However, if a second check for the same type of movement takes place during that turn, then the tax will apply.
