Your familiar takes the form of a spider.
Creature Stats: Spider Familiar
Your familiar's hit point total is based on your level at which you summon it, and your own level. All familiars are Level 3 creatures that increase in level when the Summon Familiar spell is amplified. Your familiar gains additional hit points according to your level in the Witch table.
The Spider form of a familiar has the following abilities:
At Level 9, you gain the ability to summon a Giant form of your familiar.
When you summon your familiar at level 6 or higher, you can choose to summon its Giant form. The familiar is three levels lower than its typical form (For example, using Summon Familiar amplified to level 3 will summon a Giant familiar as though amplified to level 2.)
The Giant Spider gains a +5 Size bonus, a +6 Speed bonus, and a basic Bite attack that deals 1d6 Piercing damage.
At Level 13, your familiar gains the ability to spin thick webs across pathways to ensnare enemies. The web has a Perception difficulty of 15. Creatures size -6 or smaller are restrained upon contact with the web; larger creatures are staggered for one frame.
At Level 18, your familiar's speed increases by 6 feet per frame, and it gains an additional reaction frame. It also gains the Agility skill with a level of 2.
At Level 23, you can alter the effects of your familiar's venom. As an action, you can change the effect of the familiar's Envenomate attack. You can choose for the attack to deliver the effects of any potion or poison you know the recipe to.
Items with the ⬆ Upgrade symbol can be purchased any number of times.
Items with multiple tiers must be purchased in order (starting with tier 1.)
Prerequisite: Witch Level 9
Your familiar gains an Envenomate attack. Targets are exposed to the Spider Venom disease, which can inflict Poison damage.
Prerequisite: Witch Level 12
Your familiar's Envenomate attack deals 1d6 Poison damage instantly in addition to its other effects.
Prerequisite: Ensnaring Web
Your familiar's ensnaring web restrains creatures of size -4 or smaller, and the difficulty to escape from the web increases to 15.
Prerequisite: Witch Level 15
The web restrains creatures of size -1 or smaller, and the difficulty to escape from the web increases to 18.
Prerequisite: Ensnaring Web, Witch Level 5
Your familiar can use a thin strand of silk to float across distances up to 100 feet through the air. The distance increases to 200 feet in high winds, but only in the direction of the wind.
Prerequisite: Huntsman's Speed
Increase your familiar's agility skill by 1, to a maximum of 7.
