Stainless Steel is a raw material, used to make tools, weapons, machinery, and armor. It is a form of steel with additional metals added to form an alloy that prevents the metal from rusting.
Stainless Steel is generally more durable, but no stronger than, ordinary steel in terms of weapon construction. However, items crafted with it are typically slightly heavier than ordinary steel. It is also somewhat more difficult to work in a forge. Those with the Blacksmithing (Technology) specialty skill are adept at forging all kinds of steel.

Broken stainless steel equipment can be salvaged to obtain Reclaimed Stainless Steel. The number of units of raw material salvaged depends on the outcome of your check, and the size of the object you're salvaging.
