Status effects are temporary conditions that may be applied to creatures as the result of an action, attack, or environmental factor. A status effect can be either an impairment or an advantage. Creatures may have any number of status effects at any given time, although the rules of some status effects automatically incur others.
Certain status effects have multiple levels. Effects with three tiers are labeled as low, mid, and high level. If a creature is affected by something that incurs a status effect the creature already has, the conditions stack to create the effect at a higher level.
The way to remove a status effect varies, however most will clear up on their own after a given amount of time. This time may be specified by the action that creates the initial status effect. Other effects may be permanent until they are removed.
