Ver. 1.3.1

Temporary Hit Points

Temporary Hit Points, or Temporary HP, is an amount of hit points that expire after a set period of time or when you rest. Temporary HP can exceed your Maximum HP, but do not increase it.

Sources and Counters

Each source of temporary hit points specifies how long the effect lasts. Once the effect expires, your HP is reduced to the amount of non-temporary points you had; if all of your hit points were temporary, you begin dying when the effect expires.

Whenever you take damage, you lose any temporary HP first before losing normal HP. Temporary HP cannot be restored by healing effects. Once you've lost all your temporary HP, the effect is removed.

A creature can only benefit from one source of temporary HP at a time. Whenever you gain temporary HP from a source, if you already have temporary HP from the same or another source, you choose which effect persists and which one is discarded. If you choose to persist your existing temporary HP, its remaining time does not change.

Any event that clears all status effects also removes temporary hit points.
