Ver. 1.3.1

Toxic Gas

Summarized List: Environments

An area that's filled with a toxic gas or vapor requires creatures to hold their breath while in the area, in the same way they would while swimming underwater. The presence of toxic gas may not always be obvious to the casual observer, though it is commonly visible in the form of a fog. Some toxins can be detected by a Sense/Smell (Perception) check, but some are invisible and odorless.

Creatures moving through toxic gas must make a Hold Breath (Endurance) save once every minute or whenever they perform another action, just as they would while swimming underwater. On a failed save, however, or if the creature doesn't hold their breath because they're unaware of the toxin, the damage taken is Poison damage rather than Suffocation.
